Huawei LUNA2000 batteries are modular energy storage systems based on LiFePO₄ technology, designed to perfectly match Huawei SUN2000 hybrid inverters. A single battery module has a capacity of 5 kWh, and a system can be expanded to 15 kWh by connecting up to three modules. In addition, more modern designs can reach up to 20.7 kWh.

The system's operating voltage ranges from 350 V to 560 V, and the maximum charge/discharge power can be up to 10.5 kW, making it suitable for serving high-demand consumers. The LUNA2000 modules have IP66 protection and their operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +55 °C. The batteries support the EPS (Emergency Power Supply) function, which automatically switches the system to supply critical consumers in the event of a power outage. Up to 4 groups can be connected, so a larger capacity of up to 82.8 kWh can be built into a system.
